This past Saturday, May 31st, the Prep Baseball California team hosted the Future Games Tryout at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, CA. This was an invite only event and it gave our staff an ample look at the area's top players.

40 players made their way to Mater Dei HS this past weekend and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball California staff.

Today, we will be looking at all of the outfield reports from the event.

TOP OUTFIELD PROSPECTS

1. Chase Mena, San Marino (CA), 2027
Positional Profile: OF/LHP Athletic LHH with confident actions in the OF.
Body: 5-9, 149.4 pounds. Lean and compact, with some fill on its way.
Hit: LHH. Hits in the back of the box, narrow, quiet hands, slow front foot stride. Heavy barrel, slight uppercut, long extension. 68 mph bat speed with 12g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 89 mph max exit velocity (82 avg.); 322-foot max batted distance.
Arm: LH. OF - 84.00 mph. Longer circle with some whip, 3/4 slot.
Defense: pop time range; Quiet feet fielding through the ball, smooth operation.
Athletic Testing: 6.94 runner in the 60-yard dash.
