Bailey pitched with confidence from pitch one until he was pulled after 6.2 innings with a 6-2 lead that the Eagles were able to hold onto and win to move to 6-0 in 2025. He worked free and easy on the bump primarily attacking with his FB that had life through the zone and sat 88-91 mph and topped at 92. He has whippy arm action and loose mechanics when moving down hill towards hitters and the ball comes out of his hand with minimal effort. An impressive secondary for him was the SL that came in at 78-80 mph. Sweeper profile with the pitch with tight spin that got numerous chases out of the zone. He was comfortable burying it in the dirt with 2 strikes and racked up several strikeouts with it in his outing. He showed off a few changeups that was a good change of speeds from the FB that had an average 10 mph drop from it at 78 mph. By the time he was pulled with 1 out to go in the 7th, he finished with 8 Ks while only surrendering 2 runs on 5 hits and walked 3 batters. A big time performance by Bailey helped keep #13 Granite Hills undefeated in ‘25.
