The No. 6 ranked RHP in the state for the ‘25 class showed exactly why he's held in such high regard, turning in a dominant, no-hit performance for Vista Murrieta. Neckar was nothing short of electric, allowing just two walks while striking out eight on only 73 pitches. He efficiently attacked the zone early and often, generating a ton of late, uncomfortable swings and controlling the tempo from start to finish. Neckar’s FB sat 92-94 mph through the first five frames, eventually settling in at 90-91 mph in the later innings, but never losing its edge. It was a heavy, riding FB that got on hitters in a hurry and set the tone for the outing. He paired it with a sharp 79-81 mph sweeping SL that tunneled exceptionally well off the heater, particularly in two-strike situations. The 77 mph CB gave hitters another distinct look, and he even flashed a developing cutter at 85-86 mph. He used it twice, getting a swing and miss on each occasion. The sequencing was elite throughout, mixing pitches with purpose and commanding both sides of the plate. Not only did Neckar dominate on the mound, but he also played a major role offensively. In the midst of a six-run 2nd inning for the Broncos, the Sooner commit crushed a line-drive homer, helping his own cause and continuing what’s been a stellar season at the plate. Now hitting .351 with 2 home runs and 16 RBIs (team lead), Neckar’s two-way value continues to stand out in every facet of the game. With this no-hitter, Neckar improves to 4-2 on the year with a 0.92 ERA and 61 strikeouts across 38 innings pitched. It was the most complete outing of his 2025 campaign so far which resulted in pounding the zone, missing bats, and executing with confidence. He showed why he’s one of the premier arms not only in SoCal but across the nation (No. 32 ranked ‘25 RHP overall).
