The left-hander looks the part in both build and movement on the mound, and the results backed it up throughout the outing. He worked 6.0 IP with 10 K, 1 BB, 1 ER, and 4 H, and there was really only one true barrel all day, with everything else being either weak contact or swings and misses. Aside from that lone mistake, the stuff was consistently commanded, with the FB (84–88) being thrown for strikes to both sides of the plate and showing particular effectiveness when working inside to LHH. The SL (76–77) was firm with solid horizontal movement and played well off the fastball, while the CB (68–71) was extremely effective when located low, generating both whiffs and soft contact. On the season, he now owns a 38 K to 6 BB mark over 27.2 IP, continuing to show strong strike-throwing ability and swing-and-miss stuff.
