The No. 3 ranked player in the state in his class, Parrow did not disappoint in his first outing of the regular season. With a fastball that touched 94mph several times, Parrow moved the pitch around the zone both horizontally and vertically causing havoc on hitters who were consistently late on it. As good as the fastball was, the slider was better and more devastating. It’s a sharp, late breaking pitch that he threw as a strikeout pitch on five of his six strikeouts…all of them swinging. It’s a present above average pitch that should only get better for him. Parrow went five innings on only 70 pitches and allowed two hits and zero walks.
