Dolinsky was lights out in relief, firing four dominant innings to help secure a key league win for Torrey Pines. The left-hander allowed just one hit while striking out seven, consistently attacking hitters with a fastball that worked 84-87 mph and occasionally played above the radar gun thanks to angle and command. He showed especially strong feel locating glove side to right-handed hitters, helping set up the rest of the arsenal. The lean 6-foot-5 frame immediately stands out and offers plenty of projection moving forward, flashing clear signs of more to come as he continues growing into the body. Dolinsky paired the heater with a 68-71 mph curveball that showed big 12/6 shape and effectively changed eye levels throughout the outing. He also mixed in an 80-81 mph changeup, though it currently looks more like a developing third pitch behind the primary FB/CB combo. Working from a high 3/4 slot, Dolinsky creates subtle deception by hiding the ball well out of the hand. There’s still some stiffness in the operation, but the ingredients are there for the delivery and downhill action to continue smoothing out as the frame matures. The profile fits the mold of a left-handed arm that is likely to draw increasing attention over the summer and beyond with his combination of size, projection, and present stuff.
