Bauer put together a loud round of BP today. He’s athletic in the box with a good feel for the barrel and the ability to hit for power. Simple actions at the plate with a strong lower half and a direct path to the baseball. He showed the ability to drive the ball to all fields, posting a max exit velo of 87.1 MPH and average of 79.1 MPH while consistently barreling the baseball. The swing works, and there’s more in the tank as he continues to add strength. At SS, he displayed good instincts, solid range, and an above-average arm. On the mound, he pounded the strike zone with good command of the FB, topping out at 82 MPH. Athletic mover on both sides of the ball.
