It was a strong impression at one of our first looks at Patterson out of the lead-off spot throughout gameplay Saturday. The backstop tallied 5-hits across 3 games including a triple and 2 doubles all without striking out and displaying an all-fields approach. Athletic and broad-shouldered at 5-foot-10, 155-pounds there is much more to project upon physically. Does an excellent job of keeping his hands back to create great length in-zone as he delivers an accurate barrel with tremendous plate coverage and ability to drive the ball to both gaps. Stays well-connected and generates strength from the ground-up as he utilizes a toe-tap load to sync up and get on time. The budding hit tool has a chance to be a carrying tool long-term, and defensively, Patterson shows athletic actions behind the plate with strong blocking and receiving. It's a high-floor profile for Patterson with a chance to make an instant impact for North Forsyth in the Spring.
