2/25/26
Lagrange College commit. It was a loud afternoon for the staunch 6-foot catcher as he tallied two hard hit XBH. A good first AB ended in a loud out to the CF, but he did not miss his next opportunity. He turned on the first pitch and sent it over the LCF fence at 93EV for a 2R HR, firing up the Bears dugout. Behind the dish, he gunned down two would be base stealers showing off a quick transfer and accurate throw down. In his next AB he laced a 1B right back up the middle for his 3rd RBI. Degenhard continues to impress as he matures both physically and mentally. A workhorse behind the dish and in the box, he’s always a tough matchup for opposing pitchers. The future panther’s game grows as a vital player in Cambridge’s offense.
3/23/25

Uncommitted. It was a loud day at the plate from the junior backstop as he was a massive producer in the heart of the order for Cambridge. In his second at-bat of the game, Degenhard would explode through the zone and carry one through the elements on a blustery night for a solo HR. At the plate, the RHH exhibits quiet, simple actions while delivering a well-leveraged barrel through the zone. With wiry strength to project on within the 6-foot-0, 175-pound frame. The power showed up early but the feel to hit stood out later as well. Shortly after the HR in his next AB, Degenhard would show a good 2K swing and shoot one into RF for a 2 RBI 1B. Would reach base all 4-times on the night and finish with an impressive stat-line. 2-for-2 w/ a HR, 1B, BB, HBP, 3 RBI, and 3R.
