Relatively unknown heading into the spring, Schrader made a big name for himself despite pitching at a small school outside of the Peoria area. The right-hander, whose fastball has been up to 89 mph, posted a 9-2 record with a 1.92 ERA. In 73 innings, he struck out 121, walked 43 and yielded 34 hits while leading the Chiefs to the Class 1A sectional finals. Offensively, Schrader batted .459. Western Illinois University
