Listed at 6-foot-3, 210-pounds, Cantu fills out the uniform and made a bunch of loud, hard contact during BP. His path is more direct to the ball than we have seen in the past and he peaked at 100.9 mph off the bat, launching a ball 351’. Plenty of raw power and physicality in the box. Behind the plate, worked hard during bullpens presenting a low target, presenting pitches in the zone while being a willing blocker. Topped at 79 mph from behind the crouch with a low pop time of 2.02. Name to know that continues to trend in the right direction.
