He has a loose, projectable arm action with above-average arm speed that projects for more in the tank while he controls his durable 6-foot-1, 185-pound frame down the mound.

Hit: LHH. Balanced setup, smooth load, short stride, advanced pre-pitch actions. Advanced fluidity in swing, uphill path, gets extension, consistent hard contact, gap-to-gap approach.

Arm: LH. OF - 87 mph. High 3/4 arm slot, long, loose arm action, throws carry.

OF Beau McBride (New Trier): McBride is a left/left freshman from New Trier built at a sturdy 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, and he was all over the barrel during his round of BP. McBride has a fluid, easy swing and recorded some of the hardest hit contact of the 2024s in attendance. His hardest-hit ball was measured at 92.7 mph, per TrackMan, and he averaged an exit speed of 86.6 which was the hardest among freshman hitters in McHenry. He projects best, defensively, in a corner outfield spot where his big arm strength can play.

Delivery: Stretch-only; level knee lift to even balance point. Strides down mound with shoulders closed, lands in a slightly closed position, athletic finish.
Arm Action: LH. Long arm circle, hides it some, loose from high 3/4 slot.
FB: T78, 75-77 mph. Averaged the most horizontal break of the event (-18.5 inches).
CB: 65-67 mph. Shorter 1/7 type; still learning the feel to spin.
CH: 66-70 mph. Mostly maintains arm speed; similar big run/sink.
Hit: LHH. Open setup, smooth load into backside and leg-kick timing trigger. Short path, hands work on top of the baseball, occasional hard line-drive contact with backspin. Line-drive, pull-side tendencies.
Power: 82 mph exit velocity from the tee. 88.93 max exit velocity off the bat during BP, according to TrackMan.
Arm: LH. OF - 81 mph. Loose arm action, 3/4 slot.
Defense: Profiles as a corner outfielder. Gets behind the baseball, clean footwork, proper routes and plays through the baseball in rhythm at times.
