Illinois Central JC commit. Athletic 5-foot-11, 145-pound frame with room to fill out. Lapp went 3-for-4 on the day with one RBI and one run scored. Balanced set up with a toe tap and bat tilt. Shows barrel control at the plate working with a line-drive approach. Started the game off with a nine pitch at-bat ending in a double to the gap. Next at bat, tripled to the gap and later singled, driving in a run. Started in CF and covered major ground.

Illinois Central commit. Lean 5-foot-10, 145-pound athletic frame with room to add strength. Started in center and hit out of the lead-off position. Lapp went 1-for-3 at the plate on Wednesday. The right-handed hitter operates from a wide, balanced base with a short stride. Loose, fluid hands with a compact swing that has a flat bat path that is direct to the ball. Showed quality bat-to-ball abilities in the lead-off position. Picked up a stolen base. Covered plenty of ground in center field.
