Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 148 in the Illinois 2023 Class. Physical, 6-foot, 190-pound frame, broad shoulders with evenly distributed strength, standout football player and looks the part. Started in right-field and hit out of the five-hole for Maine South, putting his athleticism on display early on with an impressive diving catch on a sharply hit line-drive to save a hit. Throughout IO, Marques showed to have agile feet and athletic actions, moving around the outfield with easy strides and transitioning into an athletic crow-hop; also showing off a strong arm that played with accuracy and life out of the hand. At the plate, the right-handed hitter starts in a narrow, slightly open setup, moving with pre-pitch rhythm into a repeatable stride. His hands play drop slightly at foot strike and create separation from his body, working quickly through the zone with a flat path, compact/repeatable swing; laced a two RBI double down the left-field line to give Maine South the lead in the second inning.

Hit: RHH. Tall, balanced setup, short stride. Strong hands, uphill path, looks to lift. Used the middle of the field.
