RHP/INF Dean Marchand (Dunlap, 2028) is a follow arm in the 2028 class after an impressive bullpen last week at the Slugger Dome. While his metrics may not immediately jump off the page—like many prospects at his age—our staff has emphasized the importance of ease and fluidity in a prospect’s movements as indicators of future projection. Marchand fits that mold, showing athleticism on the mound with a loose, easy, and quick arm action. He’s a name to watch closely throughout his high school career. At the plate, the right-handed hitter has a longer, flat swing that shows some whip in the barrel through the zone at times (T90 mph EV), looking to be an intriguing bat to follow as well moving forward.

Body: 5-5, 135 pounds. Well-proportioned frame with present strength.
