2/14/16 - 6-foot-3, 210-pound third baseman, sturdy build. Right-handed hitter, tall balanced setup, short stride, average balance. Smooth swing, longer path, slight uphill, occasional top spin contact. 90 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively plays tall, plays through the baseball, average hands. Arm plays with some length, over the top slot, 81 mph across the diamond. 7.61 runner in the 60.
7/14/14 - Highly projectable frame, long and lanky, room to fill out, 6-foot-32, 175-pound third baseman. Right handed hitter, balanced stance, short stride, excellent athletic setup. Path is short with extension, line drive gap to gap approach, gets through the baseball well, loose hands, creates whip and backspin. Projectable high level hitter, 83 mph exit velocity from the tee. On the infield projects at a corner infield spot, third base type, feet work, showed athleticism and body control. Arm action is athletic, short action, high ¾ slot with accuracy. 72 mph across the diamond, shows carry. Hayes projects well at the plate with a highly athletic and loose swing that maintains strong balance while flashing power.
6/12/14 - 6-foot-2, 175-pound SS impressed with big, projectable frame. Broad shoulders and room to add significant weight. Fielded the ball out front fluidly, but stayed back mostly, future may be at an infield corner due to lack of side-to-side agility. Arm showed carry across the diamond from short, loose, high 3/4 angle. Ran a 7.51 60-yard dash. Offensively, hit from a tall, open stance with a short stride and level, line-drive swing plane producing 74 mph exit velocity.
