Uncommitted, stands in a 6-foot-1, 196-pound frame. Started on the mound for the Pioneers, stat line may not stand out, but still impressed. Worked out of the stretch and showed clean and easy movement with a shorter arm path out of a ¾ slot. Fastball worked up to 86 mph, but sat mostly 80-85 mph through the first few innings of the game. Also mixed in a curveball with 11/5 shape and sharp actions at times, sitting 69-72 mph. Uncommitted arm in Illinois.
Positional Profile: RHP/3B
Body: 6-1, 195-pounds. Some present strength in the shoulders and lower-half.
Delivery: Stretch only, high leg lift with tuck, tall/fall down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. Clean, full, quick arm action from a 3/4 slot.
FB: T88, 87-88 mph. Clean out of the hand with life through the zone. T2425, 2376 average rpm.
CB: 76-81 mph. Some feel to spin, developing. T2346, 2185 average rpm.
CH: 79-82 mph. Plays with fade, flashes out-pitch potential. T1858, 1799 average rpm.
INF/RHP Isaiah Giganti (Normal University, 2026) was another winner from the event, giving an upside look as a two-way prospect. On the bump, Giganti is a high-waisted 6-foot-1, 180-pound smooth mover downhill. His delivery is easy and repeatable with a high leg tuck that drops and drives towards home plate. Giganti’s fastball sat 80-82 mph (T83.3) with ride through the zone (avg 17.2” IVB), and seemingly more velocity left in the tank as well. His slider was his best secondary offering, playing in the 67-69 mph range, landing in the zone 67% of the time with short vertical break. Giganti rounded out his pitch mix with a changeup that sat 73-74 mph. At the plate, the right-handed hitter showed athletic hands with a flat path, creating a max EV of 92.8 mph with a max distance of 345’. He displayed steady hands on the infield with a live arm, reaching up to 86 mph across the diamond.
