Uncommitted, stands in a 6-foot, 170-pound frame with room for strength still to come. Threw ⅔ inning in relief and threw 12 pitches but still impressed in this brief look. Only showed a fastball that sat 84-86 mph, playing mostly straight. A name to continue to follow that remains uncommitted in Illinois’ junior class.

Engel (Normal, 2026)would have an impressive two-inning Sunday, striking out five while allowing no hits, runs, or walks. Engel pounded the zone, and resultantly 75% of his pitches ended up strikes. The right-handed pitcher would showcase an 83-85 mph fastball that was paired with a 75-77 breaking ball. Definitely a name to follow in the 2026 class.
