After enjoying a monster sophomore season in which he struck out 119 in 54.1 innings and posted a 0.77 ERA, the hard-throwing Williams missed his entire junior year with an elbow injury. He was cleared to pitch in mid-June, and began to show the same upper-80s velocity and hard-biting curveball that had missed so many barrels as a sophomore. ... The 5-foot-10, 170-pound right-hander showed as one of the most polished arms at the event. Williams came from a high slot with an extremely quick arm action and a fastball that sat at 86-87 mph with some arm-side run. His curveball displayed a short, tight, late break and was consistently thrown for strikes. Williams also showed a feel for his change up with consistent arm action on all three pitches.
