McHenry County commit. Schindler went 8-for-14 (.571) with seven RBIs on the week, and he led much of the run production throughout the week.
McHenry County JC commit. Listed at a physical 6-foot-4, 220-pounds. Behind the plate, Schindler boasts a clean catch/throw that pairs with a strong/accurate arm, playing with carry and accuracy down to second. He’s an agile blocker for his size, moving well to both sides into blocks and deadening the ball out front consistently, getting around balls in the dirt that force him to move laterally out of the crouch. Also a confident receiver of the baseball, framing pitches in and around the zone.
Positional Profile: C/1B
Body: 6-foot-4, 230-pounds. Large, physical build; lower half projects.
Hit: RHH. Balanced setup, hands start high by the back ear, minimal hand load, short stride and balance through contact. Fast hands with noticeable Blast Motion metrics; averaged 26.74 mph of hand speed and 73.49 mph of bat speed. Short and level bat path through the zone with extension through contact, fluid gap-to-gap rhythm, showed consistent barrel feel and swings with intent.
