6/4/13 - Quick arm action, high ¾ arm slot. Fastball touched 87 mph, sat 84-86 mph, lacked fastball control. Curveball worked on 11/5 plane, late action, lacked depth. Figueroa clearly has arm strength showing a 96 mph arm from the outfield at our Unsigned Senior Showcase last fall. A repeatable delivery and consistent release point will take Figueroa to another level. Arkansas-Pine Bluff commit. Ranked No. 63 in Illinois and No. 179 overall.

10/14/12 - Figueroa’s arm is a pro tool. At 5-foot-10, 170-pounds, Figueroa put on a display from the outfield that is rarely seen. Figueroa exhibited plus arm strength as he was clocked at 94-96 mph, displaying throws that stayed on line and through his target with great life. As impressive as his arm was, his defensive prowess was not far behind, showing fluid footwork and soft playable hands his defensive actions were that of a true outfielder. Offensively, he showed solid rhythm at the plate working a line drive, gap to gap approach. He hit out of a balanced setup using a slight leg kick to get into his hitting position. Figueroa also ran a 7.03 and projects as a solid corner outfielder at the next level. Figueroa also showcased himself on the mound. Figueroa featured lightning quick arm speed producing an 87-89 mph fastball with hard, late life. His changeup was thrown with solid arm speed featuring arm side run and thrown for strikes. Figueroa also featured a breaking ball that worked on an 11/5 plane at 69-70 mph also throwing it for strikes.6/14/12 Figueroa is a 5-foot-10, 170-pound outfielder opened eyes with his arm strength from the outfield, as he was clocked at 91 mph. The ball explodes out of his hand, and he delivered his throws on line. Figueroa showed solid footwork in the outfield, getting through the ball athletically and with force. At the plate, Figueroa has quick hands and has a balanced, level approach.

2/20/12 Figueroa looks to be one of the premier outfield prospects in the Class of 2013, as the athletic 5-foot-10, 165-pounder impressed in all facets of the game.  Figueroa moves well in the outfield, taking concise routes to the baseball and showed the ability to play through the baseball.  He exhibited a strong, accurate arm with excellent carry (88 mph).  At the plate, Figueroa continued to impress with his explosive bat speed.  He has an athletic setup with a smooth load.  He showed gap-to-gap power as he consistently squared up the baseball to all fields while maintaining excellent balance throughout.  Additionally, Figueroa ran a 4.46 home-to-first.
