McNulty

2/19/12 - McNulty is a 5-foot-11, 187-pound switch-hitting catcher.  McNulty looked more natural from the left side, as he maintained good balance throughout his swing.  He has a balanced setup and uses his lower half well to drive through the baseball.  Behind the plate, McNulty was clocked at 77 mph from the crouch and posted a pop time range of 2.03-2.25.

4/16/13 - Coastal Carolina commit. Switch hitting catcher. Strong build, sturdy frame. Shows pop to the middle of the field. Smooth left handed stroke, excellent barrel awareness. Shows plate discipline, doesn’t chase off the plate. Excellent setup, athletic, open stance. Short path to the baseball, lower half works well, gets excellent extension. Shows power potential. Receives the ball well, lacks quickness getting out of the crouch, average arm action. 2.2-2.3 pop times. Left handed power potential should play well at the next level. Athleticism will determine defensive abilities.
