Lake Land JC commit, batted leadoff for Breese Central and went 2-for-4. The left-handed hitter stands in at 5-foot-10, 185-pounds with present strength and presents a confident look in the box and was a tough out each time up to bat. He uses a minimal load both with his hands and with his stride, to pair with a compact, direct swing. Husmann also impressed with a mature approach at the plate, rarely chasing pitches out of the zone and hitting the ball where it was pitched. Husmann will be a bat to follow for the Cougars throughout the spring.
