INF Madden Williams (Glenbrook North, 2029) was a big winner from the event, emerging as a name our staff will look to follow for the coming years. An athletic right-handed hitter standing 5-foot-9, 157-pounds, he showed to have advanced feel to hit for his age throughout his BP round. Williams was line drive oriented using the whole field, while showing the ability to backspin balls. He averaged 91 mph off the bat (T93.3), while reaching a peak batted distance of 336 feet. Williams had an athletic showing defensively as well, playing with quick hands while showing feel for the position - he also reached 82 mph from across the infield.
