In his first at-bat, he showed quality pitch recognition, able to stay back and get his hands through a curveball to one hop the left field wall. In what should have been an easy double, Koth showed his athletic ability stretching it into a hustle triple. In a later at-bat, he would show a quality swing just getting under the ball and flying out to the warning track.
