Full, over-the-head windup, stays balanced throughout delivery with rhythm; stays on-line, lands square and regular effort. Clean and quick arm action, from a high ¾ slot. Fastball flashed life, mainly straight action and clocked at 86-88 mph, touching 89 mph early on; worked more 84-87 mph later on. Breaking ball, confidence, feel, went to it often, 10/4 shape, sweeping action at times clocked at 74-77 mph. Flashed a changeup early on, straight, firm action, 84 mph. Final Line: 6IP, 9H, 1ER, 5K, 2BB.

2.14.16 - Northern Illinois commit. 6-foot-3, 185-pound right-handed pitcher, strong build. Showing continued improvement in his game, started type projection. Full windup delivery, level shoulders, repeats with little effort. Arm action is clean, high ¾ slot, firm arm strength. Fastball has easy late life, works with tilt 86-88 mph, arm side run. Curveball has 11/5 action, showed depth and feel, 69-74 mph. Changeup has sink, controls the zone, 79-81 mph, advanced feel.

1.12.16 - Verbally committed to Northern Illinois University.

2/22/15- 6-foot-3, 178-pound, right-handed hitting RHP/SS with a lanky, athletic build. In the field has a long arm action from an over the top arm slot. Carry on throws with average hands and slower actions. Threw 78 mph across the infield. At the plate hits from a tall open stance heel turn load with a short stride. Opposite field hitter with stiff rhythm. 81 mph exit velocity from a tee. Home to first at 4.86. On the mound works from a high ¾ arm angle with a short, clean arm action. Tall and fall online delivery. Uphill shoulders with an athletic finish. Threw fastball for strikes down in the zone with cut at 80-82 mph. Threw curveball for strikes with 11-5 to 12-6 shape at 66-69 mph. Straight changeup sat 70-72 mph.

1.19.14 - 6-foot-3, 165-pound right handed pitcher. Longer frame with projection, young build, still has strength to add. Delivery is simple and direct, shows some rhythm, lacks use of lower half. Arm plays from a ¾ slot, long arm action in front, shorter backswing. Fastball has occasional arm side run, shows control, 76-79 mph. Curveball flashed occasional bite, works on 11/5 plane, 64-66 mph. Changeup thrown aggressively, near fastball arm speed, showed sinking action, 69-72 mph. As a 2017 graduate showed above average projection with a higher ceiling than most. Maturity and more use of lower half will see numbers increase.
