Millikin commit, currently ranked No. 245 in the state’s senior class. Physical 6-foot-4, 205- pound frame. Started at first base and hit out of the three-hole. Niebrugge went 2-for-4 with a walk, one RBI, and two runs scored. Started Friday with a deep flyout to center field near the warning track, singled on a line drive to center, and finished the game with a line drive double. Works out of a slightly open setup with a small leg lift into a stride. Power swing that has an uphill bat path. There’s clear power and ease in the right-handed swing, and he looks like he’ll continue to be a name to closely monitor in college.

Millikin commit, currently ranked No. 245 in the state. Strong 6-foot-3, 207-pound frame. Started at first and hit out of the three-hole. Niebrugge showed well on Friday as he went 2-for-4 at the plate. The right-handed hitter operates from a tall, balanced stance with a long stride. Strong hands from a pure swing that has some intent to it. Uphill bat path that showed quality bat-to-ball abilities. Pull-side approach. Connected on an RBI single into left field. Handled first well and should be a quality defender there.

1B Mick Niebrugge, Teutopolis, 2025 Uncommitted. Lean frame at 6-foot-3, 206-pounds with room for added strength. Niebrugge was all over the barrel out of the three-spot in the lineup for the Wooden Shoes, totaling three hits including a homer and five RBI. A right-handed hitter, he has a rhythmic hand load, strong hands and a flat path. He had a knack for being on the barrel and catching the ball out front, while also showing minimal swing and miss. Defensively, has the size and natural actions/feel for the first base position and could likely stick there at the next level.
