The long and loose right-hander burst onto the scene when, as a late-season call-up during his sophomore year, Hibbing was clocked at 87-89 mph. By the fall of his junior year, he had already committed to Iowa. Hibbing lived up to his reputation last spring, posting a 7-0 record with a 1.09 ERA. In 45 innings, he amassed 76 strikeouts to help Lakes capture the North Suburban Prairie title.
