One of the top uncommitted position players left in the state, MIF Noah Fitzgerald (Lyons Township) had a strong showing on both sides of the ball. Listed at a trim and athletic 5-foot-9, 163-pounds, Fitzgerald got things going with a 6.90 in the 60-yard dash. He was all over the barrel throughout his round of BP, averaging just under 92 mph while maxing out at 97.7 mph for his EV (T353’). He has an athletic right-handed swing, staying connected through impact with a flatter path through the zone, looking to stay up the middle and to his pull-side. He’s a natural defender on the infield with soft hands and fluid footwork, boasting rhythm and timing along with the ability to move laterally with ease. Athletic prospect that will be able to stick on the infield at the next level.
MIF Noah Fitzgerald (Lyons Township, 2025) Uncommitted. Fitzgerald comes in at a compact 5-foot-10, 170 pounds. The right-handed hitter had a productive day at the plate in Sunday’s bracket play game, hitting a two run home run to deep left field, scoring twice. Mechanically presented an open stance with a toe tape finish and a bat path that presented loft. He also displayed strong athleticism in the middle infield throughout the weekend, ranging to make several difficult plays and showing clean hands.
INF Noah Fitzgerald (Lyons Township, 2025) is another uncommitted junior that had a strong showing. He’s been a winner in the past, showing well defensively in previous looks, and he still boasts a confident look on the infield. Fitzgerald fielded the ball clean, and moved around the infield with ease and quickness, while showing a strong arm that played from multiple slots. He’s cleaned up his right-handed swing some since our last look, working with quieter hands into a loose, flat path with extension through the hitting zone, averaging 90.9 mph for his EV throughout his round with line-drives, and reaching up to 93.6 mph, keeping the ball on a line while staying on the barrel throughout.
