RHP Owyn Edwards (Oak Park-River Forest) is an uncommitted arm that stands in a wiry and projectable 6-foot-3, 175-pound frame with room for added strength. He’s a loose and easy mover on the mound with a long and clean arm path with little perceived effort. His fastball was up to 81.8 mph with slight arm-side run, and he mixed in a curveball with an average of -15.1 inches of horizontal movement. Rounding out this three-pitch mix, Edwards threw a change-up at 74 mph. He finished his outing with three strikeouts, one hit and one run allowed in 1 ⅔ innings.

Delivery: Loose, athletic mover, high leg-lift that works in-sync with his hands, tall/fall operation, works in-line, repeats well for size.

A 6-foot-3, 170-pounds right-handed pitcher gave Sparks North White a strong performance in their win Saturday afternoon. After allowing three runs in the first inning, Edwards went on to only allow just one hit in his following five innings. Edwards went six total innings with three earned runs on one hit, three walks and struck out three. Attacked the opposing hitters with a four seam type fastball coming in at 78-81 mph. Backing off the fastball, an 11/5 curveball sitting 60-61 and a changeup in the low 70s.
RHP Owyn Edwards (Oak-Park River Forest, 2026) stands in a wiry and projectable 6-foot-3, 165-pound frame. A loose, stretch-only delivery with a clean and quick arm, Edwards has the upside to develop into a collegiate arm. His fastball sat 80-82 mph with arm-side run, and he mixed in a slider that sat 68-70 mph with 11/5 shape. Arguably his best pitch was his change-up, which sat 74-75 mph with an average of 16 inches of horizontal movement (17.3” max HM), showing feel to locate the pitch in and out of the lower half of the zone. With continued strength and development, Edwards will be an arm to watch moving forward.
