RHP, Patrick Kennedy, Champaign Central, 2025 Lake Land commit. Athletic, 6-foot, 181-pound frame, round shoulders. Kennedy got the start and threw it well for Champaign Central, going 3.2 innings with three hits, no earned runs, four walks and seven strikeouts. The right-hander has a simple yet athletic delivery, pairing with a whippy high ¾ arm action. His fastball cruised around 84-86 mph, getting up to 87-88 mph early on. To pair off the fastball he went to a downer curveball with depth and 11/5 shape in the mid-70s. He also swung it well in the later game that evening, going 2-for-2 with two runs scored.

RHP Patrick Kennedy (Champaign Central) is an intriguing uncommitted arm from the event. An athletic 6-foot, 181-pound frame with more to come, Kennedy showed easy, loose actions on the mound with a clean arm to pair. His fastball was up to 81.7 mph, playing mostly straight, and he also mixed in a slider at 70-72 mph with short, horizontal break. He attacked the zone with strikes throughout his two innings, tallying two strikeouts and one earned run.
