C Trey Webster (Brother Rice) is an intriguing prospect in the state’s 2026 class. A study and strong 5-foot-8, 195-pound frame, Webster tallied three hits, including two doubles and two RBIs during game play. He’s a right-handed hitter with a calm approach, recording a 92.2 mph max exit velocity and a max batted ball distance of 346 feet, per TrackMan. Also a 7.08 runner, Webster is a name-to-follow.

Hit: RHH. Slightly crouched setup, small leg lift with minimal stride. Easy, controlled swing, slightly uphill path, works the middle/pull-side of the field. 66.5 mph bat speed with 10 G’s of rotational acceleration. Finished gameplay 3-for-7 with two doubles, two RBIs, a run scored and a stolen base.

Arm: RH. C - 70 mph. Compact arm action, lower slot.
Defense: 2.08-2.15 pop times. Squatted stance, efficient jab step footwork, low but quick transfer, works quick.

Uncommitted. Listed at 5-foot-8, 191-pounds, some strength in the lower-half with room to add on muscle as he matures. The right-handed hitter impressed in our brief look, putting together a quality at-bats against one of the top arms in the state; he has a simple and easy operation with loose hands and a flat path, remaining on-time while not seeming overmatched, appears comfortable, ended the at-bat with a barreled line-drive back up the middle that would end up being caught.

Arm: RH. C - 71 mph. High 3/4 release, short out of the glove.
Defense: 2.06-2.14 pop times. Sure-handed, works directional out of the crouch with a clean transfer.

Batting out of the three-hole for the Sparks, Webster stood out with his play on both sides of the ball. At the plate, he went 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI. On defense, he displayed smooth and rangy actions at the hot corner.
Webster is a strong, physical arm that was impressive for this Cangelosi Sparks roster. While on the bump he showed a fastball up to 73 with run. He also showed feel for a 11/5 shaped breaking ball at 58-62, with a repeated slot and thrown at arm speed.

Hit: RHH. Crouched setup, vertical barrel set, minimal hand load, short stride. Strong hands for age, loose quick wrists, uphill path to contact and showed above-average gap-to-gap strength.
