6.15.17 - 6-foot-2, 196-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. At the plate hits from a tall, open setup with a leg lift stride. Pull hitter with a long, level swing path. Showed strength thru contact with 92 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.20. Defensively has a long arm action from a high ¾ arm slot. Threw 81 mph from the outfield.

2.19.17 - 6-foot-2, 196-pound, right-handed hitting outfielder with a solid lower half. Offensively, balanced, open setup, loads onto his backside, leg-lift timing trigger and average balance through contact. Flashed strength through contact and registered an 88 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, plays through the baseball, reliable hands, short arm action, ¾ slot and clocked at 84 mph from the outfield. 7.18 runner in the 60, laser-timed. 

2.15.16 - Large frame with strength, 6-foot-2, 200-pound two-way player. Full windup delivery on the mound, arm action is short out of an over the top slot. Fastball is mostly straight, ranged 74-78 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, gradual rolling action, 57-60 mph. Changeup is mostly straight with occasional sink, 68-70 mph, firm with fastball arm speed. Right-handed hitter, balanced stance, leg kick stride, average balance. Bat strength hitter, longer path with some power. 93 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively uses a short arm action from the outfield, 80 mph. Played through the baseball some, 7.49 runner.

7.20.15 - Big, strong bodied 6-foot-2, 185-pound right handed hitting outfielder. Offensively, registered one of the better exit velocities at the 2018 Top Prospect Games, 90 mph. Simple, short, level path into and through the hitting zone. Flashed some extension through contact. Incorporates lower half into the swing. Starts from a tall athletic stance, short stride, and balance throughout contact. In game play Verta went 1-3 and drew a walk. Defensively, short arm action and high ¾ slot, and a clean exchange from the outfield. Clocked at 78 mph. On the mound the physical right-hander threw three pitches from an over-the-top slot. Fastball ranged between 77-79 mph with slight arm-side-run. Curveball featured 11/5 shape, some depth, sitting 62-64 mph. Also, flashed a change-up for a strike, fastball arm speed at 69 mph.
