Zayn Giles, OF, Maroa-Forsyth (IL), 2024 A State-Runner up in last spring’s IHSA Class 2A State Playoffs, Giles transitioned to the JUCO ranks and continues to provide a quality look in front of our staff. He stands in a 6-foot-2, 195-pound frame with room for added strength still to come. He’s a right-handed hitter at the plate with a direct and compact swing that produced a max exit velocity of 97.5 mph and a max batted distance of 366 feet. Giles possesses above-average bat speed, producing an average of 77.3 mph on his swing during batting practice. A 6.92 runner, he showed quality actions in the outfield with an 84 mph outfield velocity on his best ball to home.
Kaskaskia JC signee. Started in left field and batted fourth in both games for the Trojans. Finished the weekend with four hits, two doubles, five RBI, two runs scored and two walks. Right-handed hitter with simple up/down leg lift, creates bat speed with his strong hands, slightly uphill bat path, looked to elevate the baseball throughout the weekend.
