His fastball now sits in the mid-80s, climbing as high as 85.4 mph with his breaking ball developing as a potential plus offering down the road; it spins at an average of 2502 rpm while sitting 69-72 mph with feel and quality horizontal action. C/RHP Jack Bullington (Marist, 2028) is no stranger to our staff after participating for Team Illinois at last year’s Junior Future Games. Jack continues to look like a 2028 to know in the state after taking a polished round of BP where he was consistently on the barrel while spraying hard contact to all fields. Listed at 6-foot-1, 183-pounds, he has plenty more physicality and strength to come in his frame. On the mound, Bullington is a loose and athletic mover with more to come. His fastball played around 79-81 mph, and he also showed a feel to spin both his fastball and his slider - with the FB playing over 2,300 rpm and the SL over 2,400 rpm. His final offering was a changeup he killed spin on in the 72-75 mph range with slight fading action.
Positional Profile: C/RHP

Arm Action: RH. Longer arm swing, high ¾ slot, clean and loose.
FB: T81, 79-81 mph. Flashed above-average spin, showed arm-side run at times. T2351, 2189 average rpm.
SL: 68-72 mph. Quality offering, projects as potential out-pitch, sharp 10/4 bite with above-average spin, flashed ability to land in the zone. T2462, 2371 average rpm.
CH: 72-75 mph. Plays with slight arm-side run, developing feel. T1714, 1650 average rpm.
Hit: RHH. Balanced, slightly open setup, toe-tap stride. Loose athletic hands, works on plane, on time and on the barrel. Worked the entire field. 69.9 mph bat speed with 11g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 89 mph max exit velocity (84.1 avg.).
Arm: RH. C - 74 mph. Compact arm action, high 3/4 slot.
Defense: 2.11-2.19 pop time range; Clean and easy out of the crouch, worked in line, feet replace, soft and controlled blocker.
Athletic Testing: 7.98 runner in the 60-yard dash; 18.40-inch max vertical jump.
Vizual Edge: 58.58 Edge Score.
C/INF Jack Bullington (Marist) holds some of the highest upside on Team Illinois, sporting a high-waisted 6-foot, 160-pound frame. On the mound, the right-hander has an easy and repeatable delivery with a loose arm, creating a sinking fastball that can grab the upper-70s. He also can spin the breaking ball, consistently reaching over 2,400 rpm in his outing. At the plate, the right-handed hitter has an easy and flat swing that should continue to get better as he fills out physically - finishing the week with two hits, an RBI and a run scored. He’s a quality defender behind the plate with steady actions and a willingness to block the baseball, and he showed some versatility on the infield, playing both spots up the middle.
