RHP Jarek Quinn (Richwoods, 2026) impressed in his outing at the Illinois State Games striking out three hitters over 1 ⅔ innings pitched. Fluid, repeatable delivery; an athletic mover down the mound with a high, coiled leg lift into a tall-and-fall move, landing slightly cross-fire. Long, loose arm-action from a ¾ slot. Utilized a four-pitch mix while flashing a fifth offering. Mainly went to a sinker at 82-84 mph with an average of 3.3 inches of induced vertical breaking keeping the ball on the ground. Added a 4-seam fastball as well that played up in the zone with ride (avg. 16.6 IVB). Went to a big breaking ball behind both of those offerings at 71-76 mph with 10/4 shape and depth. Rounded out the four-pitch mix with a cutter at 77 mph with short horizontal break. Flashed a depthy changeup at 74 mph (1169 rpm).
Positional Profile: RHP/3B
Body: 6-0, 163.8-pounds. Lean, wiry frame with room to add strength.
Delivery: Up-tempo, smooth, repeatable, athletic, high leg lift with coil, tall and fall, slight cross-fire finish.
Arm Action: RH. Long, loose, athletic arm action, 3/4 slot.
FB: T87, 86-87 mph. 4S: Plays up. SNK: Main pitch, major sink with arm-side run. T2140, 2074 average rpm.
CB: 71-76 mph. 10/4 shape, depth. T1953, 1831 average rpm.
SL: 77-77 mph. Flashed, tight action. T1647, 1647 average rpm.
CH: 74-74 mph. Flashed with depth. T1169, 1169 average rpm.
CUT: 76-76 mph. Distinct cutter shape with good horizontal movement.

Body: 5-11, 168.9-pounds.
Delivery: Athletic, clean mover, high leg lift with coil, drop/drive down the mound, in-line.
Arm Action: RH. Loose, clean arm path, 3/4 slot.
FB: T82, 79-81 mph. Mostly straight actions. T2102, 1986 average rpm.
CB: 67-71 mph. 11/5 shape, showed feel to land. T2154, 2017 average rpm.
SL: 72-75 mph. Quality spin, short horizontal action. T2297, 2207 average rpm.
CH: 74-77 mph. Mostly straight out of the hand. T2125, 2092 average rpm.
Displaying a strong, athletic, and proportionate 6-foot, 180-pound frame, Quinn was dealing for the Outlaws. The righty threw four innings not allowing an earned run while striking out eight. Mechanically, Quinn displays a high leg kick and long stride while fully extending his arm in his windup with a 3/4 arm slot. He has a 80-83 mph sinking fastball as well as a 74-78 mph cutter that he throws most of the time in addition to a sharp 68-70 mph curveball. Quinn’s sinker cutter combo can be a threat to opposing hitters.
Quinn has a fluid delivery and is an efficient mover directly down the mound, A tall and fall delivery in line with a quick clean arm path. Quinn’s FB played at 78-82 mph throughout with heavy ASR and carry. Quinn also added a tight high spin SL that he went to often along with a slower 12/6 BB to keep hitters off balance.

Body: 6-0, 180-pounds. Athletic frame, well-proportioned.
Delivery: Simple, clean mover, high leg lift with tuck and coil, drop/drive delivery.
Arm Action: RH. Longer arm path, clean out of a high 3/4 slot.
FB: T81, 80-81 mph. Clean out of the hand, plays with arm-side run. T1924, 1814 average rpm.
CB: 65-66 mph. 12/6 action with depth, plays at the bottom part of the zone. Advanced feel for the zone. T2144, 2083 average rpm.
CH: 68-70 mph. Straighter actions, flashes downer movement at times. Developing. T1365, 1281 average rpm.
CUT: 74-76 mph. Plays with horizontal movement to the glove side. Has feel for the zone.
