Stands in at 5-foot-9, 170-pounds. With both a polished swing and a quality catch and throw, Collazo looks the part on both sides of the ball. He stands in with a quiet stance and a compact swing that makes consistent hard contact. On two strikes, he shortens up at the plate and puts up competitive at-bats consistently. A strong defender, there is a lot of reason to believe that as he continues to get better he can be a quality catcher behind the dish.
+ One of the more intriguing rounds of BP on the day came from C/OF Jaythan Collazo (Oak Park-River Forest, 2028). He has some present muscle in his 5-foot-9, 170-pound frame, and you can certainly expect to see him continue to add more in the coming years. He has a loose right-handed swing with some strength and consistently looked to work up the middle of the field. Steady defender behind the plate, works in-line and gains ground to second from the chute, 2.16 pop-time. Arm plays short and from a high ¾ release, T72 mph.
