Lake Land commit, Barkley hit a two-run homer in the top of the 7th against Naperville Central to extend the Wildcat lead to six.. Joe also had a 2-run single in a 9-run 4th inning against Central that helped the Wildcats win their first DVC game of '25. Had five hits on the week with a double, five RBIs, six runs, and a stolen base.
Lakers commit, Barkley finished the week 6-for-10 with a double, home run, six RBis, two runs, and a stolen base. He delivered a 4-4 performance in a much-needed 2nd win for the Wildcats over Wheaton Academy.

1B Joe Barkley (Neuqua Valley) wielded one of the stronger right-handed swings in attendance, reaching up to 99 mph for his max EV in the workout with an average of 91.1 mph and max distance of 375’. He also put up some impressive BLAST numbers, with an average bat-speed of 73 mph and average hand-speed of 22.2 mph. He gets his A-swing off in-game while still being able to control the zone and sit back on spin.
