One of the top two-way talents in the Kansas 2027 class, it was on the mound where RHP/INF Jackson Barker (Shawnee Mission South, 2027) shined brightest in this one. Well known to our staff as an elite strike thrower, Barker did precisely that in this look, commanding both sides of the plate with all four of his pitches. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound sophomore ran his fastball up to 85.4 mph, sitting from 84-85 mph. Off of that he spun two distinct breaking balls that tunneled off of his fastball with a curveball at 72-73 mph and a horizontal breaking slider at 73-75 mph. He also turned over a changeup at 77 mph. At the plate, Barker posted a max exit velocity of 93.2 mph to go alongside a 87 mph infield velocity.
