Delivery: Tall and fall delivery with a moderate tempo. Uses a high leg lift before striding straight down the mound into a balanced landing.
Arm Action: LH. Long loose arm action from a 3/4 slot.
FB: T88, 85-88 mph. Some strikes, moderate spin, arm side run. T2197, 2124 average rpm.
CB: 68-70 mph. Some st rikes, moderate spin, rolling 12/6 shape. T2092, 2071 average rpm.

LHP KJ McGill (Bishop Carroll (KS), 2027) emerged from this event as a must-see arm on the mound this spring for the Golden Eagles. Long and lean at 6-foot-4, 155 pounds, McGill filled up the zone with a four-pitch mix from a loose, easy arm action and low three-quarter slot. He generated effortless velocity, running his fastball up to an event-best 88.5 mph while sitting 85–88 mph with 2,400+ RPM and -17.6 inches of arm-side action on average. Off that, he spun two distinct breaking balls — a 69–73 mph curveball with 2,400+ RPM and a tight 73–74 mph slider at 2,500+ RPM, landing both for strikes. He also turned over a 76–80 mph changeup with heavy arm-side fade and flashed a 79–80 mph cutter. With plenty of projection and an advanced feel for his full arsenal, McGill looks poised for a breakout spring and is a name to circle in the Kansas junior class.
