Zak Perry: RHP/3B, (2027) Messalonskee, ME. 5-foot-9, 145-pound projectable frame. Capable in the box, Perry recorded an exit velocity of 76 mph. (57.6 mph bat speed average). (17.4 mph hand speed average). Set up in a balanced closed stance and had a big leg kick. Bat speed was developing, showed a loose uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Had some loud contact and found some barrels. Aggressive approach. Capable while in the infield, made throws up to 62 mph; has developing feet, a lengthy natural exchange, and developing hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. Used a stiff arm action and a high ¾ slot,while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. Capable on the mound, showed developing arm speed with a high ¾ arm angle and a consistent arm action. Tall-and-fall type pitcher who uses some effort. Tall balance point with in line shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 62-68 mph; has running action and arm side command. (Max spin 1826; Avg 1764). His slider (62-67) had glove side command and slurvey action. (Max spin 1779; Avg 1740).
Zak Perry: RHP/3B, (2027) out of Messalonskee, ME. is a 5-foot-8, 140-pound two-way prospect. In the box, Perry had an exit velocity of 75 mph with a (53.0 mph bat speed average) and (16.8 mph hand speed average). Perry starts in a balanced, athletic stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. He then uses a short stride to trigger a simple, flat swing that stays on plane through his finish. In the infield, His throws across the diamond were 60 mph, while showing he has smooth, consistent feet, a clean exchange, and sure hands. In the 60-yard dash, he recorded a time of 9.86. On the mound, Perry uses a long, high ¾ arm slot to produce a fastball that sits 65-66 mph Max spin 1833; Avg 1780) with some arm side run. The delivery is simple, clean and direct. He uses simple movements to get to a consistent balance point and lands square with a clean finish. Perry also flashed a sweeping curveball (57-59 mph) (Max spin 1843; Avg 1700).
