Sunday's trip to Parkville gave our staff another look at INF/RHP Fields Floersch (Blue Springs, 2027) after his Prep Baseball debut earlier this summer at the Heart of America Summer ID. The 6-foot, 172-pound two-way prospect continues to show true impact potential on both sides of the ball. Offensively, Floersch posted a 93 mph peak exit velocity, showing compact strength and feel for the barrel. Defensively, his arm stood out as one of the best at the event, firing an event-best 88 mph mark across the diamond. On the mound, the right-hander pitched in the low 80s with his fastball and spun a 2,300+ RPM slider at 73–74 mph with up to -15.4 inches of horizontal movement and true swing-and-miss traits.

INF/RHP Fields Floersch (Blue Springs, MO, 2027) emerged as one of the event’s biggest winners, showcasing impact ability on both sides of the ball in one of the day’s most complete performances. The 5-foot-11, 172-pound athlete flashed bat speed and strength at the plate, driving the day’s furthest ball at 358 feet with a 92.5 mph exit velocity. He added an 88 mph bullet across the infield, showing arm strength and range defensively. On the mound, the junior impressed even more—pounding the zone with a four-pitch mix that featured a fastball at 86-88 mph (T88.8) with carry, a 72-73 mph curveball, a 75-76 mph slider, and an 80-81 mph changeup, all for strikes. Look for Floersch to play a big role for the Wildcats this coming spring.
