Yard Baseball Club Scout Day: Quick Hits
October 22, 2025
On Sunday, September 28th, the Prep Baseball Missouri staff traveled to Creekside Baseball Park in Parkville, MO to host the annual Yard Baseball Club Scout Day. This event, featured 30+ players from the Yard Baseball Club program in attendence.
All of our events offer players the opportunity to update their recruiting resume and showcase their talents in front of our staff. We also use these events as identifiers for future invite-only events, like the Preseason All-State, our summer Top Prospect Games, and the prestigious Prep Baseball Future Games that takes place at the tail end of the summer. To see what our events offer, click HERE.
Earlier, our staff rolled out the day’s statistical standouts in leaderboard format within our ‘Stat Story’, which you can find HERE. Today, after combing through our notes from the day, we’ve compiled some of the event’s standouts within these ‘Quick Hits’. Read below to learn about 8 names that popped to our staff from Sunday's trip to Parkville.
QUICK HITS
+ Sunday's trip to Parkville gave our staff another look at INF/RHP Fields Floersch (Blue Springs, 2027) after his Prep Baseball debut earlier this summer at the Heart of America Summer ID. The 6-foot, 172-pound two-way prospect continues to show true impact potential on both sides of the ball. Offensively, Floersch posted a 93 mph peak exit velocity, showing compact strength and feel for the barrel. Defensively, his arm stood out as one of the best at the event, firing an event-best 88 mph mark across the diamond. On the mound, the right-hander pitched in the low 80s with his fastball and spun a 2,300+ RPM slider at 73–74 mph with up to -15.4 inches of horizontal movement and true swing-and-miss traits.

+ RHP Darin Fehr (Lawrence Free State, 2026) came away from this event as a winner on the mound. Standing at a projectable 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, Fehr impressed with an electric three-pitch mix, running his fastball up to 89.3 mph with 20.4 inches of induced vertical break and sitting comfortably in the 86–88 mph range. He paired it with a 79–80 mph slider and a 75–77 mph changeup that averaged 17.4 inches of arm-side fade, all pointing to significant upside as he continues to add strength and polish.
+ C/INF Jack Salyer (Oak Park, 2027) is a backstop to note from Sunday’s trip to Parkville. Defensively, Salyer stood out behind the plate with a strong, accurate arm and quick transfer, posting a 78 mph catcher velocity and leading all backstops on the day with an impressive 1.86–1.89 pop time. That same arm strength carried over to the infield, where he fired an 84 mph bullet across the diamond.

+ OF/RHP Brady Wollesen (Lawrence, 2026) turned in a strong two-way performance in this look. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound athlete showed off one of the best arms at the event, firing the top outfield velocity of the day at 87 mph. That arm strength carried over to the mound, where Wollesen sat in the low 80s, topping at 83.9 mph with heavy arm-side run, while mixing in a 73–74 mph slider and 74–75 mph changeup. At the plate, he worked back through the middle of the field, barreling his best ball at 90.7 mph.
+ Another backstop to note from Sunday's event is C Brody Braa (Grain Valley, 2027). Braa impressed defensively, posting 1.93–1.94 pop times with a 78 mph arm from behind the plate — both among the event’s leaders. + INF/RHP Logan Jinkins (Grain Valley, 2028) emerged as a two-way name to follow in the 2028 class after a strong all-around showing on Sunday. Physically advanced at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds, Jinkins showcased raw strength with plenty of projection to come. Offensively, he swung a strong right-handed barrel with quick hands (21.8 mph hand speed) and natural lift, barreling his best ball at 95.6 mph, the top mark of the day. He also showed range and arm strength across the infield, reaching 85 mph on his firmest throw. Jinkins wrapped up the day on the mound, working in the 82–84 mph range with his fastball, spinning a sharp 71–74 mph slider with up to -18.9 inches of horizontal movement, while also mixing in a 72–73 mph changeup.

+ NF/OF Haydn Jinkins (Grain Valley, 2026) continues to intrigue our staff each time we see him. At 5-foot-11, 170 pounds, Jinkins swings a quick, rotational right-handed barrel with a level path through the zone. There’s more impact to come as he continues to add strength, but he already showed the ability to drive the ball with authority to the pull side, posting a 93.6 mph peak exit velocity in this look. Defensively, he showed steady actions and an 83 mph arm across the diamond from short.
