INF/RHP Owen Andrews (Washington, 2026) put together arguably the loudest and most impressive workout of the OKC PID. The right handed hitting infielder peppered line drives throughout his BP round and showed the athleticism that also saw him tied for the top 30 yard dash time on the day. Defensively, the infielder was 82 across the infield with quiet feet, soft hands receiving the baseball out front, and comfort playing with pace. Despite an impressive showing as a positon player, Andrews may have saved his best for last when he jumped on the mound for his bullpen. The Washington product was up to 87.8 mph with his fastball and a max of 19.7” IVB. The secondary pitches were equally as impressive with two distinctively different breaking pitches - both firm in their offering. The curveball was 78-79 with a max spin of 2270+ RPMs and more vertical with its shape. The slider, tunneled with his fastball, worked 77-78 mph and 2210+ RPMs. The last piece of the four pitch mix was the changeup, maxing at 16.8” Horizontal Movement, and working between 80-82 mph. Our first look at Andrews, he will be an exciting prospect this spring and into the summer circuit.
