‘27 INF Lucas Liao out of the Fieldhouse Pirates program has really grown since we saw him last March and now stands at 5-foot-11, 170-pounds which has translated to some louder metrics at the plate and on the infield. The right-handed hitter was on-time throughout his two rounds, consistently finding the barrel (82% Sweet Spot) for line-drive contact to the middle/pullside. Liao’s average exit velocity of 85.0mph was 5th-best among 2027s, along with a peak exit velocity of 91.4mph and peak distance of 302ft. On the infield, Liao worked up to 76mph which was a 4mph uptick from last year. Good start to the year for the Fieldhouse Pirates infielder.
