Set to rise big in the next rankings update as one of the top athletes in Wisconsin – he’s a two-way with a very high ceiling. Athletic 6-foot-1, 177-pound frame with twitch and strength. On the mound, he’s an athletic mover with a fluid, repeatable delivery. He works from a medium leg lift into a controlled drop-and-drive motion with slight crossfire, creating a tough angle for hitters. Low ¾ slot with a long, loose arm action. Relied heavily on his fastball that averaged 86.3 and topped out at 88.4 with heavy arm-side run and sink. Mixed in a short, tight slider with gyro shape at 76-78 mph that earned some ugly whiffs. Weissenburger may not have had the results to show for it, but he consistently induced weak contact and generated multiple ground balls. At the plate, Weissenburger was a performer with the bat throughout gameplay, collecting three hits throughout gameplay including a triple and a home run.
Positional Profile: OF/RHP

Arm Action: RH. Low 3/4 slot, long, loose arm action.
FB: T88, 86-88 mph. Life out of the hand, heavy arm-side run and sink. T1806, 1644 average rpm.
SL: 76-78 mph. Hard, short, tight break, cut/gyro shape. T2097, 1934 average rpm.
+ RHP/OF Gavin Weissenburger (Living Word Lutheran, 2026) was perhaps the biggest winner of the day. This is our staff’s first viewing of the talented two-way talent in a showcase setting and put together an eye-opening performance. On the mound, Weissenburger used a simple, repeatable, explosive and well-organized delivery. The fastball averaged 85 mph and topped out at 88 mph. He paired the fastball with a late breaking slider at 72-74 mph and deployed a 77-78 mph change up with late sink. With the bat, the junior used a simple and repeatable right-handed swing and consistently barrelled the baseball through the big part of the field throughout his round. His 96 mph max exit velocity was 14th best among a group of over 150 players. Also, he ran a 6.81 seconds 60 yard dash was good for 7th best at the event. As impressive as this was, there is more ceiling in here. Weissenburger measured 5-foot-11, 182 pounds and should continue to add size and strength. Arrow way up for the junior two-way.

Vizual Edge: 57.79 Edge Score
Listed an athletic 6-foot, 175 pounds with more room to add size and strength. Struck out five across his six innings of work and allowed just one hit while walking one. Worked with pace throughout his outing. Simple mover on the bump, pairing it with a quick and loose arm. Relied heavily on his fastball that sat 83-86 mph throughout his elongated start, showing the ability to maintain his velocity. While he didn’t go to it much, he did flash a tighter breaking ball with late 11/5 break, too. Overall, Weissenburger is a raw prospect, which is to be expected from a sophomore, but he did assert himself as an intriguing name-to-know inside of the state’s talented 2026 class.
