2025 Wisconsin State Games: Preview
July 29, 2025
The Prep Baseball Wisconsin staff is excited to host the second-ever Wisconsin State Games on Thursday, July 31 and Friday, August 1 at The Rock Sports Complex in Franklin, WI. The two-day, invite-only event will the some of the best high school players in the 2026, 2027, and 2028 classes across the state.

Isaiah Ahlberg C / OF / Solon Springs High School, WI / 2026Rankings StateRank: 69 / POS: 7
From 2/19/2025: “C/OF Isaiah Ahlberg (Solon Springs, 2026) took a nice step forward in this look. Ahlberg is powerfully built with a 5-foot-10, 179 pound frame with more room to add strength. Ahlberg showed off his ability to hit with a natural trigger and natural feel to hit and was driving the ball throughout his round and registered a solid 93 mph max exit velocity from his well-sequenced right-handed swing. Behind the plate, Ahlberg showed a cannon at 80 mph velocity and serious ability to turn the ball around and put it on the bag. His 1.80-1.96 pop times were an event best. He also showcased soft hands and a confident presence behind the plate when receiving during bullpens. During outfield defense, Ahlberg tied for an event best with showcasing a 91 mph pulldown with accuracy and carry. Our staff is excited for things to come this spring and summer seasons for the Junior.” |

Jimmy Angle OF / Kettle Moraine, WI / 2026Rankings StateRank: 39 / POS: 4
From 3/19/2025: “OF Jimmy Angle (Kettle Moraine, 2026) is a physical and athletic 6-foot-1, 204 pound uncommitted outfielder in the state’s 2026 class. At the plate, the right-hander swings a heavy barrel and consistently gets his “A” swing off while showing innate feel to leverage the ball in the air. The ball jumps off the bat consistently finding the barrel throughout the round reaching 96.6 mph on his hardest hit ball of the day averaging 88.4 mph throughout. Defensively Angle is a capable defender with arm strength up to 85 mph over the weekend. One of the top uncommitted ‘26s in the state with middle-of-the-order upside.” |

Eli Bauler 1B / RHP / Monona Grove, WI / 2027Rankings StateRank: 24 / POS: 1
From 3/19/2025: “ 1B/RHP Eli Bauler (Monona Grove, 2027) is one of the strongest left-handed bats in the state regardless of class. Standing at a physical 6-foot-1, 215 pounds with strength throughout the frame. At the plate, the physical left-hander takes controlled and violent swings, consistently finding the barrel with impact, leading the event with a 97.9 mph max exit velocity. On the mound Bauler showed feel for a three pitch mix with a fastball up to 83 mph and two secondaries to pair off the fastball.” |

Aiden Becker C / OF / Chetek-Weyerhaeuser, WI / 2026Rankings StateRank: 185 / POS: 24
Uncommitted and currently ranked No. 185 in the 2026 class, C/OF Aiden Becker stands in at 6-foot, 195-pounds. Behind the plate, Becker has registered pop times in the 1.85-2.01 range and shows athleticism behind the dish. He has a quality feel for the catching position that leads to believe that he could stay at the position in the long term. At the plate, Becker has simple actions with a slight stride forward and an uphill swing. |

Braylon Brantner RHP / Hortonville, WI / 2026Rankings StateRank: 71 / POS: 23
From 3/04/25: “RHP Braylon Brantner (Hortonville, 2026) was one of the big winners of the day. His average fastball the last time we saw him was 83. Today the ball was jumping out of his hand and was up to 87 with good downhill angle through the hitting zone. Late breaking curveball at 75 mph with two-plan breaking action for strikes and was used to expand. He rounded out his arsenal with a change up with heavy arm side run at the plate. Arrow up for the athletic right-hander.” |

Tyler Flemming C / 2B / Waukesha North, WI / 2027Rankings StateRank: 26 / POS: 4
From 3/28/25: “ C Tyler Flemming (Waukesha North, 2027) is an athletic backstop who can hit, defend and run. Flemming started his day with an impressive 7.06 seconds 60 yard dash showing quick burst and quick turnover. He then showcased a strong left handed swing making loud contact throughout his round and produced 93 mph off the bat and averaged 87 mph. On defense, Flemming’s pop time was 2.01 seconds with a quick transfer and accurate throws on the bag. He shows an advanced feel for the catching position in general and continues to be a player our staff really likes.” |

Nicholas (Niko) Frangopoulos OF / RHP / Arrowhead, WI / 2026Rankings StateRank: 47 / POS: 8
From 4/19/2025: “Uncommitted, currently ranked inside the top-50 inside the state’s junior class, standing at 6-foot, 182 pounds with strength. Started in right-field and hit second for Arrowhead, going 2-for-4 with a double. At the plate, the left-hander swings with intent, looking to drive the ball in the air, feel to use the entire field with power to all fields. Defensively looking like an asset at either corner with arm strength to stick in right.” |

Elijah Gammage OF / RHP / New Berlin West, WI / 2026Rankings StateRank: 41 / POS: 5
From 3/28/2025: “OF/RHP Elijah Gammage (New Berlin West, 2026) is an athletic 6-foot, 181 pound two-way prospect with a high ceiling. On the mound, Gammage ran his fastball up to 92 mph with ease and increased feel for the zone with his entire arsenal. The breaking ball made strides as well, sitting in the low-70s with consistent and sharp two-plane break. The changeup was thrown with intent, sitting in the low-80s, landing it in the zone. At the plate, Gammage swings an upside right handed bat, added more impact this offseason, with exit velocities reaching 97.8 mph with added feel for the barrel.” |

Cail Geiger RHP / 3B / Menomonee Falls, WI / 2026Rankings StateRank: 21 / POS: 8
From 2/26/25: “RHP Cail Geiger (Menomonee Falls, 2026) has been a name our staff has been monitoring for sometime now. The athletic and fluid right-hander is one of the top uncommitted arms in the state. Standing at 6-foot, 188-pounds with clear strength in his frame and even more room to add. On the mound, Geiger has a simple and easily repeatable delivery and arm action, with clear and visible arm speed through release The fastball jumped out of the hand with life, sitting 88-90 mph throughout his ‘pen, Geiger also showed a feel and confidence in a sinker at the same velo with heavy running action and depth off his fourseam. The secondaries stood out for Geiger on the day, his gyro slider looked like a potential weapon, sitting in the mid-80s and averaged 0.8” of IVB and 0.1” of HM. The changeup was thrown hard in the mid-80s with heavy fading action.” |

Camden Glusick OF / SS / Sun Prairie East, WI / 2027Rankings StateRank: 44 / POS: 7
From 4/22/2025: “Uncommitted, a follow bat in the state’s sophomore class, standing at a lean 6-foot, 165 pound frame with room to add. Glusick started in center field and hit third in the lineup, going 2-for-3 at the plate with a double, two RBIs and a walk. The right-handed hitter has shown repeated feel for the barrel, driving the ball to all fields across multiple looks this spring showing advanced bat-to-ball traits and feel to backspin the baseball. Defensively the outfielder has enough range and speed to play in all three spots, making plays in both gaps throughout the game.” |

Liam Hagland RHP / OF / Germantown, WI / 2026Rankings StateRank: 60 / POS: 19
Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 60 in the 2026 class. Standing in at 6-foot-1, 190-pounds, Hagland has upside on both sides of the ball. On the mound, Hagland features a lively four-pitch mix that has an excellent feel for spin. He just recently pitched in the Junior Future Games, where his fastball was up to 90.6 MPH, averaging 2240 RPMs of spring and being all the way up to 2400+ RPMs. He also showcased a low-80s slider that was up to 2868 RPMs. At the plate, Hagland has displayed some power potential, as he was up to a 91.3 max EV and a 351 ft max distance at the Milwaukee Preseason ID. He hits out of an upright stance and possesses a natural swing sequence, and uses his body well throughout the swing. |

Marty Hanna RHP / SS / Sauk Prairie, WI / 2026Rankings StateRank: 78 / POS: 26
From 3/19/25: “RHP/SS Marty Hanna (Sauk Prairie, 2026) showed up a stronger, more physical version of himself over the weekend, standing at 6-foot-1, 178 pounds. The added strength came with a 6 mph bump in velocity for Hanna, now sitting in the mid-80s (T86.6 mph) with feel to spin a two plane curveball in the low-70s and feel to land a changeup in the zone. Hanna is an arrow-up junior heading into the spring.” |

Brady Helms 2B / SS / Hartford, WI / 2027Rankings StateRank: 43 / POS: 2
From 3/19/2025: “ INF/OF Brady Helms (Hartford, 2027) showed smooth actions and athleticism during the defensive portion of the event with a rangy first step laterally. He ran a quick 7.18-second 60-yard dash. At 6-foot, 174 pounds, he displayed a compact swing and consistently drove the ball to all fields. Helms projects to add size and strength as he matures and will certainly add to his raw power tool in the future." |

Haaken Hovestol C / 3B / Delavan-Darien, WI / 2027Rankings StateRank: 50 / POS: 6
Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 50 in the 2027 class. Hovestol stands in at a lean 6-foot, 185-pound frame with some athleticism and projection. Hovestol has a stock setup at the plate and has shown an ability to drive the ball to both gaps, and just has a strong feel for the barrel and a strong overall feel for hitting. |

Ben Jones RHP / Mukwonago, WI / 2026Rankings StateRank: 55 / POS: 17
From 2/26/2025: RHP Ben Jones (Mukwonago, 2026) continues to be a guy who continues to improve. Jones was measured at 6-foot-2, 224 pounds with an extremely strong and sturdy frame. We saw the big righty up to 86 mph with a quick arm at the Wisconsin State Games in July and he showed up pumping the heater up to 89 mph with some carry and lift through the hitting zone. He featured a couple of different breaking balls with some lateral sweep to the pitch and a useful change up to go with it. It was yet another intriguing look at Ben Jones who continues to tick up with his stuff and overall performance.” |

Landon Lassahn RHP / OF / Verona Area, WI / 2026Rankings StateRank: 51 / POS: 16
From 3/19/25: “RHP Landon Lassahn (Verona Area, 2026) displayed an extremely loose and athletic delivery, reaching up to 87 mph with the fastball with a feel for 4 pitches for strikes. With the fastball, he showed well above-average extension (6.6 feet) and IVB (20 inches). Additionally, Lassahn showcased two distinct breaking balls: a curveball (70-72 mph, 2,272 rpm average spin rate) and a slider (70-72 mph, 2,155 rpm average spin rate), as well as a feel for a changeup (73-77 mph). All three secondary pitches he was able to land in the zone with consistent execution. Our staff believes Lassahn has the potential to be near the top of his class by the end of his senior year if he continues to develop physically as there is plenty of room in his 6-foot-3, 173 pound frame.” |

Brady Lessner RHP / RHP / Watertown , WI / 2026Rankings StateRank: 81 / POS: 29
From 3/12/2025: “ RHP Brady Lessner (Watertown, 2026) is a physical 6-foot-2, 193-pound right-hander with arm talent. An athlete on the mound with some rawness to the delivery, the arm works, clean throughout with clear arm speed through release. The fastball plays with life in the upper-80s, reaching 89.2 mph on his firmest bullet. Two secondaries, the breaking ball is still developing and plays in the low-70s with two-plane action. The changeup stands out with the makings of a potential out pitch down the line, firm in the low-80s with considerable depth off the fastball and late action to the pitch with feel for the zone. Lessner came away as a must-know name from the event, and is a name our staff will monitor going forward.” |

Noah Melby RHP / RHP / Brookfield East, WI / 2026Rankings StateRank: 36 / POS: 13
From 4/04/2025: “Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 36 in the state’s junior class. Physical yet still room to add to his 6-foot-5, 223-pound frame. Got the start and tossed the first three innings where he struck out five batters, allowing one run on two hits and a walk. Mostly fastballs throughout the look, with feel to land to both sides of the plate, sitting mostly in the mid-80s throughout. In two-strike counts Melby would reach back for another gear hitting multiple 87s throughout the outing, locating at the top of the zone. Melby would mix in a 74-77 mph breaking ball with big two-plane action that he would land in the zone, earning multiple whiffs. One of the top uncommitted junior arms in the state.” |

James Radabaugh 1B / OF / Waunakee, WI / 2027Rankings StateRank: 63 / POS: 2
From 4/14/2025: “James Radabagh possesses notable strength and power in his 6-foot-1, 207-pound frame. With two runners on in the bottom of the fourth, Radabagh crushed a home run to right field, extending Waunakee’s lead to 12-4. At the plate, he swings with a smooth, free-and-easy left-handed stroke and shows a strong feel for the barrel. Defensively at first base, he displays good instincts around the bag and soft hands. As just a sophomore, Radabagh has already found success—and his ceiling remains incredibly high.” |

Ashtyn Seifert RHP / 2B / Beaver Dam, WI / 2027Rankings StateRank: 42 / POS: 14
Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 42 in the 2027 class. At a long-levered 6-foot-1, 165-pounds, there is plenty of projection in Seifert’s frame. He has a simple, compact delivery and throws the ball out of a ¾ slot with ease. He has reached up to 84 MPH with the fastball. He offers a sharp curveball with 11/5 bite, a slider with smaller 10.4 break and a changeup with slide fade. |

From 4/19/2025: “Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 25 in the state’s junior class, one of the top uncommitted players in the state, with upside on the mound as well as positionally. Stands at a strong and athletic 5-foot-10, 173 pounds, started in center field and hit sixth, going 3-for-4 on the day with an RBI and scored three runs. At the plate, the right-hander looks to do damage with the intent to drive the ball in the air, matching plane with length through the zone and extends past contact. Defensively, the outfielder has the range and arm strength to play all three spots in the outfield.” |

Gavin Weissenburger OF / RHP / Living Word Lutheran, WI / 2026Rankings StateRank: 66 / POS: 13
From 3/28/2025: “RHP/OF Gavin Weissenburger (Living Word Lutheran, 2026) was perhaps the biggest winner of the day. This is our staff’s first viewing of the talented two-way talent in a showcase setting and put together an eye-opening performance. On the mound, Weissenburger used a simple, repeatable, explosive and well-organized delivery. The fastball averaged 85 mph and topped out at 88 mph. He paired the fastball with a late breaking slider at 72-74 mph and deployed a 77-78 mph change up with late sink. With the bat, the junior used a simple and repeatable right-handed swing and consistently barrelled the baseball through the big part of the field throughout his round. His 96 mph max exit velocity was 14th best among a group of over 150 players. Also, he ran a 6.81 seconds 60 yard dash was good for 7th best at the event. As impressive as this was, there is more ceiling in here. Weissenburger measured 5-foot-11, 182 pounds and should continue to add size and strength. Arrow way up for the junior two-way.” |

Cooper Wendt SS / OF / Muskego, WI / 2027Rankings StateRank: 25 / POS: 6
From 3/28/2025: “ OF Cooper Wendt (Muskego, 2027) was a big winner on the day with his performance with the bat and on defense. Wendt is a projectable and athletic 5-foot-10, 160 pounds and started his day off with running one of the best 60 yard dash times of 6.73 seconds and jumped 27.3 inches which was one of the top vertical jumps on the day. During hitting, Wendt was hitting rockets through the middle and registered an impressive 97 mph max EV. During outfield defense, Wendt unleashed a cannon at 90 mph with accuracy and carry and exemplified another impressive tool in his toolset. Cooper Wendt is a name to know in the state." |

Braun Wotruba SS / RHP / Pulaski, WI, WI / 2027Rankings StateRank: 37 / POS: 7
From 3/19/25: “INF/RHP Braun Wotruba (Pulaski High School, 2027) is a strong 5-foot-9, 175-pound infielder that took a standout round of batting practice. At the plate, the right-handed reached 94 max exit velocity with a 90 mph average. Defensively, Wotruba reached 85 mph across the infield with a reliable feel to the defense to make the routine play with the ability to make the rangy play in his back pocket. On the mound, the right-hander was to 82 mph with the fastball while showing feel to land three pitches for strikes. Our staff is convicted in the offensive profile and lean position player at this stage. Wotruba is an interesting prospect." |
