South Dakota State commit, currently ranked No. 11 in the state’s junior class. One of the top athletes in the class with an upside frame standing at 5-foot-11, 166-pounds with clear room to continue to add onto the frame. An elite athlete even in the cold weather, making a number of plays at the hot corner, including chasing a runner down in a rundown at the plate. Went 1-for-1 at the plate with a walk and two stolen bases taking quality at-bats on each trip to the plate with impressive swings and swing decisions during the appearance. A high-follow athlete that is seemingly beginning to put it all together on the field and be a name to follow closely throughout his prep career and beyond.

+ Cooper Wendt, INF/OF (Muskego): Loud tools on display during his showing at the State Games. The 5-foot-10, 161-pound junior logged the fastest 60-yard dash time of the entire event at 6.45 seconds. At the plate, Wendt has a standard, tall setup at the plate with little wasted movement before the pitch, working his weight back slightly with a slight stride forward before the swing. He utilizes both hand and hip speed to generate power with a direct-to-ball path to attack the pitch, putting together a max exit velocity of 97.4 mph during his round. Defensively, Wendt consistently worked around the ball to recieve, attacking with confidence and releasing the throw out of a lower 3/4 slot.
