+ Braun Wotruba, MIF (Pulaski): Wotruba was a big winner at the Wisconsin State Games, showing clear feet to hit throughout gameplay collecting three hits including a triple thorughout three games. The 5-foot-9, 183-pound infielder has consistently hit in front of our staff throughout the year, no matter the class or velo, during the workout the right-handed hitter reached a peak exit velocity of 95.8 mph showing consistent and repeated feel for the barrel throughout his round. Defensively Wotruba is a versatile defender capable of playing multiple spots on the infield showing enough arm strength to stick on the left-side.
Currently ranked No. 37 in Wisconsin’s 2027 class. Displaying a compact 5-foot-9, 185-pound frame with present strength throughout, Wortuba was all over the barrel in Saturday’s 9-2 win. The right-handed hitter operated out of a narrow, upright setup, utilizing a longer stride, with loose hands into a direct path, creating length through the zone. Wotruba looked the part batting out of the leadoff role, finishing 4-for-4 at the plate with two doubles, an RBI, and two runs scored.
Uncommitted, the right-hander got the ball in a start against Sheboygan North. The sophomore threw five shutout innings, allowing only one hit, no walks, and struck out eight.
Uncommitted, delivered a go-ahead single in the 7th inning against Hortonville securing the 9-7 win. Finished the week 3-for-7 with two walks, two RBIs, and two stolen bases.
+ INF/RHP Braun Wotruba (Pulaski High School, 2027) is a strong 5-foot-9, 175-pound infielder that took a standout round of batting practice. At the plate, the right-handed reached 94 max exit velocity with a 90 mph average. Defensively, Wotruba reached 85 mph across the infield with a reliable feel to the defense to make the routine play with the ability to make the rangy play in his back pocket. On the mound, the right-hander was to 82 mph with the fastball while showing feel to land three pitches for strikes. Our staff is convicted in the offensive profile and lean position player at this stage. Wotruba is an interesting prospect.
