He then displayed a simple and handsy right-handed swing that produced consistent line drive contact and produced the second best max exit velocity of the day at 95.4 mph. In the infield, Schmaski showcased a quick and rangy first step, soft hands, and a strong and accurate arm. On the mound, he was up to 84 mph with some running action on the fastball and featured a curveball, slider and change up to round out his four-pitch mix. This was the first time we’ve seen the talented senior at a Prep Baseball showcase and he proved why he is a ranked player in the state and has himself as a strong follow heading into the winter showcase season.
